Business Development Manager
Tim is responsible for business development at Duo, where he works on selling websites and digital strategies to potential clients. He has a background in digital sales, and he has sold clients on the values of both Drupal and WordPress. With Drupal, he sees a platform that many times works for clients who need something more robust — they’re often looking for a platform that goes above and beyond the needs of a simple website that is still easy to manage from a content management system.
“When we’re talking about these platforms, we’re talking about a tool in the toolbox. There isn’t necessarily one that ‘better’ than the other. We want to work backward from the clients’ needs and make our proposed solution tailored to what their needs are.”

Why did you choose to work at Duo?
I was attracted to Duo because of its reputation as a thought leader in the industry. I was also impressed by the quality team of engineers here who can support the sales that I’m looking to bring in.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I was the only boy in a class of nine students in my grade school class from sixth to eighth grade. I’m also a first-generation Irish American.
What is your favorite book?
I was an English Major at the University of Iowa, where I focused on the classics, so I would say The Iliad or The Odyssey. I also thought Catcher in the Rye was hysterical.
If you could have dinner with three people, either living or dead, who would they be?
I would have some light appetizers with Albert Einstein and try to glean as much info as I could from his vast knowledge. I would then have my main course with Ernie Banks and talk about all things Chicago Cubs. Then I would have a nightcap with Chris Farley and go out on the town.
