VDIware is a global infrastructure management company for financial firms. They design and support high-frequency ultra-low latency trading platforms and provide global trading infrastructures through proximity data centers. These global centers are strategically located in Chicago, New York, Frankfurt, and London.
VDIware lacked an online digital presence, a problem detrimental to the company’s mission: to provide global digital solutions for financial firms. With data centers across the globe, they required a single, central location to promote these services on an international scale. The new site had to be completed under a strict timeline that aligned with a key company announcement, so the team had only six weeks from start to finish -- including full design rounds, development, and administrative training.
Duo leveraged Drupal 7, the newest iteration of the popular open source CMS, to create VDIware’s new website. In addition to training VDIware on how to edit and update content throughout the site, Duo also did a more extensive training on functions of the site typically managed by technical developers. As a result, VDIware gained ongoing flexibility to continually build out their website, taking into account their growing needs as a company.
One of VDIware’s core missions is to “manage complexity” for clients. Creating a website that echoes this sentiment was an important aspect of their web project. A streamlined approach to the overall design and site navigation eased locating and understanding content, a main focus of success for the website. Parsing the site into key areas simplifies how potential clients find and understand the core services, company overview and request support.
A successful user experience that takes into account VDIware’s mission, coupled with the power of Drupal, allows for ongoing site management and growth for a successful first venture into the digital realm.
