Industrial Opportunity Partners, LLC (“IOP”), based in Evanston, IL, is a private equity investment firm with $185 million of committed capital focused on acquiring and managing middle-market manufacturing and value-added distribution businesses.Their website exemplifies their operations-focused approach, and serves as a record of their success in stabilizing, growing and enhancing the value of their acquired businesses. 

Goals

The goals for developing this site included:

  • Revamp the website’s look and feel to appeal to IOP’s target audience. The current visual interface was outdated and did not convey an image that represented the company’s professional expertise.
  • Implement a CMS that would allow for easy, frequent updates.
  • Optimize the content’s search engine potential, in doing so increase its relevance to potential clients.

Results

Duo implemented Adobe Contribute CS3, which placed the power to update content back in IOP’s hands. The website also underwent a visual and branding renovation. Some specific benefits included:

  • Current, accessible information: Contribute allowed IOP to update both their news and portfolio selections, and to draw updates from these sections to the homepage. The navigation system was consistent across the website.
  • Professional image: The website was enhanced with stock photos, its color palate was fine-tuned, and pages were given a cleaner, more legible appearance.
  • Enriched content: search engine-friendly descriptions, titles and keywords were added throughout the website.

After the kickoff meeting and discovery stage, Duo’s design team met with Industrial Opportunity Partners and researched possible layouts and stock photos, in addition to exploring IOP’s competitors’ websites. IOP quickly communicated the specifics of their redesign. IOP’s website administrators were trained in Contribute throughout this process.

This site was built using Adobe Contribute CS3. Contribute allows content authors to easily update existing websites and blogs while maintaining site integrity. Thanks to a WYSIWYG authoring environment, content authors and contributors can edit or update any website or blog without needing prior HTML experience.
