"I like Drupal because of its unbelievable flexibility and the fact that it’s Open Source. I find it more programmer-friendly than Joomla."

Experience:

"I’ve built lots of sites on Drupal, and I’ve been Director of IT at a consulting firm. I can thus see the whole picture of a project and where best to provide my expertise, advice, and strategic assistance to our clients."

What Drives Me:

"I like taking things apart to see how they work. I’m not an engineer, but programming provides the ability to play around with my engineering side without fear of self-electrocution."

What Inspires Me:

"I like seeing how things are being done currently, and then taking the best components and bringing them together in a more efficient, new, and intuitive way. Ease of use for the end-user is a key thing for me -- questioning the status quo of why things are the way they are in order to get a better experience for people is incredibly important."

Background:

Scott has been working with Open Source technologies (PHP, MySQL, Apache, Linux, Joomla, Drupal) for many years now, and continues to pursue that career passion with his work in Drupal. When he’s not making Drupal sites, he’s focused on perfecting his bowling game -- he’s the director for a Chicago bowling tournament, and thus far he’s bowled three perfect games himself. Scott has a BS in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma.
