Background:

Michael Silverman, founder and chief executive officer of Duo, has more than 25 years’ experience as an entrepreneur, executive and innovator. Michael began his career in 1982, when he founded PinDot Products, a manufacturer of specialized wheelchairs and products for people with disabilities. An early and enthusiastic adaptor to new technologies, Michael championed computer-aided design and manufacturing techniques and pioneered the use of mass customization in the development of the company’s products. For his efforts, the company was selected to receive an outstanding business award from Arthur Andersen and Michael was named finalist for “Entrepreneur of the Year.”  In 1997, Michael created his first Internet business, RehabCentral.com, and in 1999 he founded Duo Consulting. Michael has an MBA in marketing from the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
